I, Michelle, promise to do my best, to do my duty to the boy family....

We have a new Cub Scout in the family!
And doesn't he just look darling! Erick likes to call them the "corn scouts" because of the purple fleur-de-lis badge that is on his uniform. He was a little skeptical before the first meeting as he wasn't sure what to expect, however he returned all smiles and is excited for the year. As I have been along for the planning process, I can guarantee that there will be a ton of fun activities for the boys :-)

The school year has certainly kicked off full steam ahead. Last week was the official kick-off to the soccer season, as well as Cub Scouts! Not to mention I am FINALLY getting around to redoing our front entryway after ripping out the wallpaper over a year ago. Baby steps, people.

Both boys seem to be enjoying the school year so far and I dare say the family is adjusting fairly well to falling back into some kind of daily routine. At least I know that I AM HAPPY, which really is what matters, right? ha! Not to sound too overly excited, but thus far I have been able to schedule some weekly coffee times and walks with friends which I am so happy about and so appreciate! This is my first time in YEARS that I get to enjoy some much needed MICHELLE time that lasts longer than 3 hours! Soaking it up while I can :-)

Of course, that said, I found myself looking for excuses to go to the boys school the first few weeks so that I could catch a glimpse of them. How pathetic is that!!!!
