I am very happy about this post! Michael was recognized as being the top contributor to his school's publishing center this year, publishing over 20 books!!! Way to go Michael!
They made an announcement of the 4 top publishers in the afternoon announcements today at school and as I happened to be inside waiting for Michael I got to hear them and see his excited reaction! He was given a book and a wall crawling spider toy/book as a gift for being the top dog :-) I think I will pick some of my favorites and dedicate a few posts to them.
As my camera was in the trunk of Mike's car, sadly I have no pictures of his loot. However, for good measure...

The boys came home and told me that. They were very impressed. They said he was given two awards. One for writing the most books and one for reading the most books (over 50?). True?
Yes Laura, that would be a pickle sticking out of Michael's mouth!
And Tracy, I believe that the two gifts were just for writing the most stories. (insert proud mother comment) Although he does read a ton! And don't let me forget to give you this stack of doggie treat/food coupons before they expire!!! Mia is going to get fat on goodies!

Looks like Michael may have another news item to brag about soon if Michelle decides to disclose it publicly. (Nothing worse than a bragging parent who thinks the universe revolves around her kids. As an objective party to the whole affair, I'd have to say it is different though when the universe actually does revolve around said child/children.) We may have to indulge her endless stagemomery.
Well, it appears it might be too early to brag as rumor has it there may be yet ONE more test next week!
