Quick catch up...

We have had some fantastic soccer games these last two weekends and both boys teams are on a winning streak. Last week we even had both Michael and Erick help their team earn victories with some fantastic goals! Very exciting stuff to watch! I didn't get too many shots from the games but took a few of Speeds game (Michael's are still on the camera and I need to upload them...)

Last weekend we put the canoe in the water for the first time this season and went fishing at one of our favorite little lakes. It might have been a little early in the season as the fish were not biting much yet we had a nice time and it felt great to get back outside. Here are a few pictures from our voyage and you will see a shot of Speedo with the biggest catch of the day:

And this has been about as cooperative as I can get Michael to be when posing for pictures lately - hence the shortage of his mug on this post:

Next week is a big week for Michael as we will be celebrating his First Communion. I can't believe how big these boys are getting and that we are almost finished with the school year and in under a month we will have a full fledged third grader and kindergartener!I am feeling so old these days!

And just to give you something to test your vocab, Michael has done a stellar job with his spelling this year and got the following super bonus word correct on his last test:

pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis

otherwise known as black lung disease. Duh! OK, so I still can't even pronounce it!!! Kudos to our champion speller!

Whoa. That's quite a spelling word! Is the teacher a big joker or what?

As always, cute boys!!

Happy Mother's Day to you.

Great "action" shots and posing by the fish Speedo. I guess Michael's word definitely trumps antidisentablishmentarianism any day. Way to go Michael! We are looking forward to attending Michael's 1st communion next Sunday. My how the time flies by....

Amount of double chin is inversely proportional to the extension of the neck. Rest assured, I am just as plump as ever.

Thank goodness. I thought we might start sharing clothes soon. :) You do look skinny, neck extension procedure or not.
