Abandoned?

Good question, and thank you for asking. No, no. This blog is not abandoned. Just a little ignored these last few weeks! Shame on me.

Things are moving along nicely with our bathroom. We hired our neighbor to help with plumbing, woodworking and the floor and by Monday I should have some pictures to put up that show our progress. I will be very happy to have the toilet back in play!

Yesterday the boys and I went out and picked our Christmas tree. I went to the same place where we have gone for the last three years, yet this year I somehow ended up with a horribly bent tree trunk. Perhaps it was because I was in a hurry as the boys were starting to run through the tree aisles and it was starting to snow really heavy and wet. Whatever the case, the tree looked great when I had the guy stand it up for me, yet when I got it home I realized the error of my horribly bent tree trunk ways. Wish us luck as we try to straighten it out today.

On another note, the boys have been driving me crazy these last few days and I am starting to be a little frightened for my sanity during the upcoming Christmas break. Did I type that out loud? What a horrible thing to say. So if anyone is looking to do a little free babysitting for a few days let me know. I will need to check your references, but I am fairly certain we can work something out! ha! I kid of course. Right?!?

I will try to post more later today. Promise!

I'll pick the boys up at the Greyhound station. Just send them in hair nets so they won't get lice. I can take it from there.

I feel your pain. Just bought tickets to the Harlem Globetrotters in hopes of keeping them occupied over the break.

Sorry about your tree. It is a pretty funny story though. Where was my brother during this episode? He should have been helping you. It is totally his fault.

I was in Thrillsdale, making money and kissing babies. 100% of all my proceeds benefit the Straighten The Tree Fund of West Michigan. Thanks to my support, the tree stands straight.

But it may not last. Your support is vital to keeping our tree from slouching.

Will you consider a gift of $1,000 or even $10,000 to keep our Christmas beautiful? If not, you may consider us in your will. Gifts of appreciated securities are welcome. And ask our staff about gift annuities, a convenient way for you to earn income in your golden years while benefiting our Christmas decor.
