my life has gone to the birds

I once again am owning up to the fact that I should just pack up my bird feeders, books, and rocking chairs and move to a retirement community on some nice wooded area. I have two new feeders in what I shall now refer to as "my collection" and have enjoyed spending the morning watching birds visit my feeders while I sip coffee and listen to the wonderful advice of Jim Fay on the stereo.

Falling back into a normal routine following a long vacation is never easy in our household and I am finding that I am in need of a little help in the realm of getting everything back in order around here. Wish me luck.

In other news, as we are a cable-less family, last night I went out and purchased a converter box for our downstairs TV. Let's just say that I appreciate the extra PBS channel that we now get as it is one of my favorites, however I am hoping that following the official change over in February we will get a bit more of a selection then the two channels now available to us when the box is hooked up. Eshhh. I will say that the picture is definitely crystal clear which has to count for something.

I suppose I should take offense at the above comment, but that would just be denying the obvious.

Do people still use the term "stereo"?

You know you can get a little cable package for $10 a month? No dirty movies or other items to corrupt your husband (further) or children. :)

We've had 18 eggs since Sunday. BTW.

The correct term would be (no joke) "Hi Fi". If it helps increase her geek cred, all music is streamed from the home computer.

We can wait on cable. Soon enough the web will bring us all we need. AND MY GEEK WIFE WILL RULE THE PLANET!
