Wow, that was a long delay since my last post. Lots happening around here lately.
The boys are very excited to announce the return of our favorite Ewok clone, Yogi! We are dog sitting again until this weekend and the boys are already trying to think of ways for us to keep him longer.
The last time he stayed with us, Erickson gave him a stuffed animal bunny to play with and keep as a memento from his visit. Apparently the bunny became Yogi's favorite toy and he loves the thing like crazy! LITERALLY. Now, not having a dog of our own, the boys have found it hysterical watching Yogi demonstrate his ...errrr, affection, for this bunny. Good Lord is all I have to say. And if you need more of an explanation I will have to direct you to the mating channel on Animal Planet. This is a family blog afterall.
That aside, we all love the Yogster and have had a fun visit with him so far.
On the school front, this week is Michael's "Star Week" in school. Since his birthday falls during the summer, we picked this week to celebrate. Birthday treat, special guest for lunch, show and tell everyday, he gets to bring the Yogi in for all to see... and the list of fun stuff goes on. He is very excited.
Last week we got to enjoy Erickson in a spring music concert that all of the preschool/Young 5's put on. Unfortunately Erick was all the way on the other side of the church from where we were sitting so we didn't get to see much of him, but it was fun anyway.
We have had a glimpse of springtime and the boys have spent a ton of time outside in the past week. The weather is warming up, the birds are chirping, plants are starting to peek out of the ground...I LOVE it. We are all so ready for warmer weather to take hold. Just in time for Spring soccer, which we signed up for last week. I have volunteered to help coach Michael's team and am pretty excited about that!
I will post some recent pictures in a bit....

I'm afraid that all the humping Yogi has been doing has caused many questions out of the boys. May have to lean on Laura's book for support soon.
What fun to have a periodic "tend-a-pet" - works well for both sides. As for the soccer...all I can say is "Go Meesh"!!! (Inside reflection of days gone by back on the soccer fields of GP and nearby communities.)
