Excitement abounds a la Chez Boy Family.
Tonight marks the night that we will have our first friend sleep over. Michael's friend Carson gets the honors and they have been planning many a fun thing to do tonight.
They have had a countdown going on marking today and they have a list with over 20 things (at least last I got a peek at it) that they would like to do. On the agenda...
- make homemade pizza (my contribution)
- make owl barf ball snacks as found in the back of their Gross Out! book (complete with pretzel bones and coconut feathers)
- stay up late watching movies
- make paper airplanes
- play the wii...
and the list goes on. I am sure they will have a blast!
On the school front, we had Erickson's parent-teacher conference on Monday and it went great. When a teacher tells you that she wishes she had 20 of your child in her class it makes you feel pretty good. And yes, I am boasting. I am so proud of the boys and their great school work and behavior. Let's just say that knowing this helps keep me sane when they are driving me INSANE at home! ha!
Here's keeping my fingers crossed that it will stay that way for a long, long time!!!...the stellar school performance that is, not my personal insanity!

The noise level of one boy is about a 4 on the 1-10 Scale of Tolerability (OTTSOT for those of you playing along at home). A second boy doubles the reading to an 8. I predict that a third will break the OTTSOT, taking us into the uncharted area of 16. If I had any friends whatsoever, I would make plans for tonight.
I am sure we could leave and they would never notice. Or maybe I should rephrase that to - I'm sure we could leave after feeding them and they would never notice. But then again, who am I kidding. Since when did they need us to be present to raid the kitchen? We will just be in the way after all.
Ah yes...the first sleepover. Sleepover, slumber party, etc. - truly oxymorons to the max. I hope all goes well and some sleep occurs. What about E-dog? What are his thoughts?
So, how did it go?
