coupons, coupons...

Every once in a while I go on little obsessive tangents. Knitting, reading, tearing apart my house....Well, last week I looked at a web site that Mike had sent me a while back and read about all of these incredible deals that people were getting from shopping with coupons in conjunction with store promotions. Tons of freebie items and completely ridiculously low grocery bills.

OK, um, so this might sound a little boring and I will completely understand if you don't read further. But for anyone who does the household shopping...I have picked up a ton of great deals and thought I would share because I am pretty proud of myself. For instance...Total spent on all of the above items: $7.35.
(Total without coupons savings: $22.60)
.
- 2 pledge cleaners
-4 cans soup
- 1 gallon milk
-1 oreo cookie
-4 packs of yogurt

Total spent above: $2.14.
(Total without coupons: roughly $10.88)

- 1 tube of chapstick
- 2 comet cleaners
- 1 kraft salad dressing
- 1/2 and 1/2
- Halls Cough drops

Pretty fun, yes? Everything pictured was bought for less than $12. WOW!

thanks for sharing... I'm the worst at using coupons -they never seem to have them for anything that i buy, but you've motivated me to try this out:-)

(and Mike, don't make any snarky comments at her... what husband doesn't love a wife who stretches the paycheck a bit further, right?!?)

I am a coupon addict. Thanks for the link. That is my main problem...no snarky comments mike....I need someone to tell me where the deals are and which coupons to use! Thanks for the info!

yep, you've officially got me hooked on this site.

I went out today and got a whole bag of cleaning products and snacks for just a couple dollars. ( I also did that free Hallmark card deal they had on there today)
fun times, I tell ya.

Thank you LADIES...it is totally addictive!!!! Today I purchased 2 tubes of Aquafresh Extreme Clean polishing toothpaste and 6 bars of Johnson and Johnson Buddies soap for the boys (I have coupons for 7 more but didnt' want to seem too obnoxious with my purchase so will go back later!) all for...wait for it...$2!

If Mike gives you any lip, wash his mouth out with some Johnson & Johnson Buddies soap! It won't cost much!

Great site by the way.

No lip here. I am excited that my wife is saving gobs of money buying things that we don't use and appear to not even have been tested on prisoners.

Michelle said...

LOSER. My purchases have been ALL things that we use and have purchased before - except for the child soap which I bought specifically for the boys. And those were FREE!!!

Kris was right, you need to have some soap put in your mouth.

Free soap!!

I'd comment further, but I'm too busy enjoying a case of Crystal Pepsi. Got to get the taste of Halls Breezers out of my mouth!

Kris said...

What the h-e-double hockey sticks is Crystal Pepsi? Sounds like something they tried in Russia and it didn't fly there so they sent it to Big Lots!

Unknown said...

Who cares what the Russians think? WE GOT A 50% COUPON FOR IT! Want the link?

Michelle said...

OK, I am laughing HYSTERICALLY. I have no idea who's house you have been drinking at, but Crystal Pepsi? COME ON. Give me some credit. And unless you used the boys new soap this morning, that is about as weird a purchase as I have made.

I'll Crystal Pepsi you...

Seen any "Wink"?

Unknown said...

She's not found a coupon for any Wink yet. But I have had to change my deodorant to Tickle.

I've been looking for some "Gee, my hair smells terrific." Anything?

Michelle said...

MOM! They're picking on me!

I can't help but feel but you two are making fun of me. AGAIN!

Kris said...

No, now we're just making fun of items from the 70's and 80's!!

I never, ever make fun of you! Seriously.

Backhanded, yet on target.

I told you she was mean, Michelle.
