A family of "trolls" venturing over the bridge into the U P

What? Two months with no posting! How horrible!!! Do any of my readers remain???? Please come back. I promise to not desert you for so long again....

We arrived in Mackinaw City last night and will be heading up to the U P later in the day. Our plans to spend the first day of our trip on Mackinac Island have been foiled by rain and pending thunderstorms - no thank you to crossing the lake in those conditions! So we have altered our plans and will be heading out to Colonial Michilimackinac instead per the recommendation of Grandpa Lew. It looks like a place the boys would get a kick out of so it should be fun. And then after that we will head over the bridge to St. Ignace.

The rest of our trip I may have limited access to the web, but our plans include a trip to the Soo Locks, Whitefish Bay, a Blueberry festival in Paradise and what looks to be a breathtaking site - Tahquamenon Falls! I am excited as so far as I can remember, I have never spent any amount of time in the U P aside from a trip or two to Mackinac Island - which I suppose doesn't count as it really isn't in the U P!

I am keeping my fingers crossed that the weather will turn around for the remainder of our trip, but a little rain never hurt anyone. I promise to take lots of pictures and will post them when I get back home as I have no way of uploading them to this computer.
