Soooo, anyway. I will skip over discussing the events of last night. There will be plenty of time to dwell on that in the years to come. Instead, I will try to catch up on things that make me happy...such as Halloween pictures of the boys, my upcoming weekend plans, etc.
As I mentioned before, both boys decided to go trick-or-treating as skeletons again so these scary fellows might look a bit familiar.

They definitely got their fill of candy and are slowly working their way through their loot. On day 2 they combined their bags together and came in at a respectable 3/4 of a paper grocery bag. Not too shabby. That should be plenty of sugar to last them through the end of the year at the 3-4 pieces per day pace they have been enjoying.
In other news, I am excited for my plans this weekend! First of all, I actually HAVE plans this weekend which in and of itself is exciting. I am going to meet with my girlfriends from Hillsdale Saturday night in Ann Arbor after not having seen them for years. Which means the boys will be left alone - YIKES! And then on Sunday I am planning to have lunch with another Hillsdale friend Megan! Yay! I am so excited :-) I will hardly know what to do with myself without having a child in tow for such an extended period of time. Now let's just hope that this cold I have been enjoying for the last two days goes away by then!!!!!Well, time to turn my attention to Erickson who is having a rough morning so far. He has been getting up too early for the last two days which makes for a grumpy and demanding puppy. Ugh. Perhaps we will venture outside to rake up some leaves and enjoy another one of our 7o degree days today! 70 degrees. In November! Thank you Global Warming!

Flamebaiting my sister. Well played.
No, no. Just expressing my personal take on the day to my largely sympathetic audience. That is all.
Painting her as an outsider... I like that.
Let the in-fighting begin.
Actually, I feel your pain. No wait, I felt your pain...four years ago and eight years ago.
well, I'm glad I'm not the only one with left-leaning in-laws! I like to think it's good for us... this is what Hillsdale prepared us for, right?!
Have fun on your girls weekend!
