Last night we spent an enjoyable evening at the ballpark. Aside from the fact that it was freezing when the sun went down (what gives Michigan with all of this cold weather in August?), we had a fun time chowing on semi-nasty ball park food and cheering on the White Caps to a victory against some team called the Loons.
Our seats were way down next to the opposing teams dugout which provided us with a great view, but was a little too close for comfort as our seats were right where the edge of the netting ended behind home plate. Periodically throughout the game I had visions of a fly ball smacking me in the face. Luckily that scenario did not play out and the only mishap of the evening was when a peanut shell I threw at Mike (in retaliation, of course!) ricocheted off of his arm and hit the people behind us. Oopps.
They had some interesting entertainment in the form of a group called the Zoopsters which actually turned out to be quite humorous. The boys also provided their own form of entertainment with Erickson putting on a show for the girls sitting behind us. He is a ladies man...
A few pictures from our evening....no one was in the mood to be in any pictures - or at least the pictures I was asking for, and even my camera batteries were dying so...

Tonight we are off to the boys new school for an Open House to meet the teachers and have a look around before school begins next week.
