And away he goes...

We miss you Daddy!

Have a safe trip and bring us a treat!

Mike is leaving us for a few days so in turn, we are visiting my family for the weekend. In other words, I will be using the next 24 hours to obtain a little pro bono in-house babysitting. (Sorry Mom and Dad, just calling it like it is!). Not that I have plans to actually go anywhere on my own. It is just the satisfaction of knowing that someone else can share in the duty of keeping an eye on the boys.

On the agenda for the day - Greenfield Village. Pictures to follow.

On the school front, we had a great meeting with Michael's teacher the other night. Way to go Mikey! You are the kind of ice cream.

Also, speaking of Mikey, he has discovered a love for writing and spent the entire car ride over to Detroit last night composing another Michael original story with his favorite character - Billy Bo Bob, the crime fighting fish. I think there were five chapters in all. At school they have a publishing center where the kids can turn in stories to be made into books and Michael has turned in so many this year that I felt compelled to volunteer in that department to help with the back log. He is becoming a writing machine. Ha!

Well, I figure it is about time I roll out of bed and make an appearance. Can't be lazy all day long and besides, the smell of bacon is making it's way up the stairs...breakfast time!

Thanks for the post. I feel included!

What does "you are the kind of ice cream" mean? I find that delightfully ambiguous. Like me in a skirt.

Ha. Kind, king...it's all the same. And you in a skirt is NOT delightfully ambiguous. Unless of course it is the Utilikilt Man Skirt. Now THAT is delightful.
