Tawas, MI

As I know that you are highly anticipating pictures from our Labor Day weekend, I will make you wait no longer. Based on a promise from one of Mike's friends of catching tons of fish, we packed up our bags and headed east to Tawas Lake in East Tawas, MI.

We stayed at a little motel along Lake Huron and had our own little cabin which was pretty fun. It was rather hilarious watching the boys "ohhing" and "ahhhhing" during the initial walk-thru of our cabin. Mike put it best when he said if we could always see things through the eyes of a child, as certain aspects of our temporary housing left much to be desired. But I digress and will spare you the specifics, instead presenting to you a few of the highlights from our visit to the picturesque, yet slightly trashy, town of Tawas.

Fortunately we were right on the water so the boys could go swimming in Lake Huron which they loved. The daily Connect Four challenge. Michael is the family champion and pretty much owns the game.

Finally, for anyone interested in bug porn...one of my favorite pictures from the trip! In town we found a nice little ice cream shop and had some delicious pizza at a place called G's pizza. Apparently it is a chain and has a shop in Traverse City so we might have to stop there again when we head up north at the end of the month.

Overall we had a fun weekend and caught a ton of fish on a pretty lake.
