Merry Christmas Eve!

We are enjoying our Christmas break, but have had a few bouts of cabin fever (in the last two days). So, to help get the family out of the house yesterday, I dragged everyone out into the freezing cold, nasty snow storm to go to the Meijer Gardens so I could take some pictures for our Christmas -- I mean New Year's -- card. I took about 35 pictures and need to decide which one I like best. Here are a few from the boys photo shoot ...
After the gardens we trekked back through the whiteout snow conditions and came home to snuggle into our blankets to enjoy an evening of Spider-Man II. Which I think the boys have watched at least twice more since then. Currently they are cleaning their room to make space for their new Christmas presents, because as we know, the more space they have to put toys away the more they might receive. OK, at least that is what they were told by their loving mother! What great motivation to convince them that they should clean - there was a minimal amount of arguing before they got to work.

This morning Mike treated us to a delicious breakfast of roasted potatoes and a Thai inspired recipe for son-in-law eggs. Delicious! As for me, I need to start making our Christmas Eve turkey dinner. Have a wonderful Christmas Eve!
