Sick Friday

Just when I thought we were in the clear from viruses and sickness, Michael stayed home from school today thanks to a case of strep throat. He has been pretty miserable all day, but is a good patient and has been holding up well biding his time by watching movies and drawing. Of all the days to miss school, this one was particularly bad as there was an all school field trip to the zoo today which he had to miss.

This is his first drawing from this afternoon which I think is just awesome! And yes, there usually HAS to be lava and someone in horrible danger...
In other news...The Boy Family has a new toy - or, er, uh, Mike has a new toy! I don't quite know that he has let anyone else play it yet. So look out nephews! Uncle Mike is practicing his little heart out to regain his former glory!

Mike was desperately needing a Guitar Hero fix so he got one for the computer. We have pretty much decided, at least for now, that we are not going to get a game system until at least the summertime is over (Yes, I am so mean).

I have mentioned it before and am sure I will mention it again, but Michael could be enrolled in Gamers Anonymous and Erick is quick on his heals. Now that it is finally nice enough for the boys to play outside, we decided to put off the temptation to buy a Wii as they don't need any added enticement for parking their rear ends in front of the TV for hours on end this summer.

Well, happy Friday to everyone. I am off to make some dinner and I hear that Erick has turned the hose out outside, which can only mean trouble...
