I have been happily gardening all afternoon. This season we have had some strange weather and it seems like things are blooming a bit later than usual - or it could just be that my memory is all off. Either way, enjoy some more blooms from around the yard...

And I FINALLY got my vegetable garden planted. I have a few more spots to fill in, but I was WAY late in starting this year. The boys and I planted several varieties of heirloom tomatoes that should be delicious and of course for Mike, a handful of hot pepper plants, that usually produce way more peppers than we could ever use!
And for any herb lovers, a few favorites from my herb garden...

You grow that wacky weed, don't you?
I'm very jealous! YOU are impressive, growing herbs, veggies, and lots of beautiful flowers!! Do you ever can? Can you can hot peppers if you grow too many?
Yes, I was going to put some random comment about NOT growing THAT kind of herb, but though surely someone would make the comment for me. So thanks!
And Megan, not impressive, just enjoy getting a little dirt under the fingernails from time to time! Fresh herbs and tomatoes are the best though!
There are never too many hot peppers. You can turn them into a hot sauce pretty easily and they'll last forever.
Your tarragon looks fabulous! What type is it?
Everything looks great. I love getting some dirt under my nails too.
Can't wait for the "after" photos.
Hmmm, not sure what kind of tarragon it is -- we planted three of these plants about 3 or 4 years ago now and this is the only one that is still around and keeps coming back strong year after year!
It's Russian.
(I just wrote a funny comment and Blogger lost it. DAMN YOU BLOGGER.)
So there.
