From the far away forest moon of Endor we have an adorable little Ewok staying with us for the next several days. Everyone, meet Yogi. He is a peekapoo - not to be confused with a goldendoodle, schnoozle or cockapoo- ha! He is just a little fella and the boys are having a blast with him!
I could almost see getting a dog this size - much different from the bull mastiff that Mike would like to get! He is adorable, he seems to like me, and the best part is that he hasn't made me sneeze but once -- there it is, the real reason we probably don't have a dog yet.

He looks like a biter to me. Run boys run!! Jump up on the couch like a mouse is in the house!! Ha Ha.
Pretty cute but not sure there's much going on behind those eyes. Just kidding of course. My mother-in-law has a Bichon--they're pretty hypoallergenic--they don't shed anyway. Or, you could be really cool and get a Boxer-now THERE'S a smart dog! Glad you guys are having fun.
I think dog rentals are the only way to go. A week or so with a dog gives all the fun and none of the nasty.
This dog does have a strange habit: Grabs a rawhide bone, jumps in your lap, and accuses you of trying to take his rawhide prize. Very passive aggressive. You think "Oh, what a nice dog you are!" until he starts growling and snarling inches from your face.
When I went to college, my dog flipped out so the vet put her on Prozac. But, when my parents raved about their "new" dog, the vet quit giving it to her worrying that she may stike as they had let their guard down. But, it sounds like maybe Yogi needs some meds.
