We are entering our final week of school this week. It seems like it will be an easy handful of days consisting of no homework, picnics, lots of playtime and then no more 1st grade for Mikey! I have to say that I am ready for the morning drama to be over when it is time to wake up, followed by the nightly drama of trying to get the boys to bed at a decent time when it is still light outside at 9:30 PM!
We also have other countdowns going on as June is a big month for birthday cakes around here. Erickson's birthday countdown started in earnest last week when I realized that it was only a week away! On Tuesday he will turn FIVE and then we will start the countdown for the end of the month when Michael turns, *GULP* EIGHT! Yikes. Usually by now we have cake themes picked out and major gift requests nailed down but this year I am feeling a wee bit behind.
So far we haven't really been deluged with any major requests, although Michael did ask for a MP3 player this morning and Erick has asked for a WebKinz, (that is a whole other topic to be covered in a later post...) which Michael has promised to get him. Erick's only consistent request has been for a Sponge Bob cake. Never mind that he had one last year as well, or maybe it was for his 3rd birthday...
At any rate, I need to get on my horse and get moving!

On the topic of the WebKinz, you seem to have neglected WHO--exactly--has been dominating the WebKinz time to date. Is it Michael? Nope. The Speed? Nope. I can tell you firmly: It ain't me. So who's that leave? Be sure to reveal in your comment your kibitzing with other mothers on freakin WebKinz strategies... give me a break!
We help with Webkinz! We moms are just trying to earn our little ones some Kinz cash. It is always in the name of our children! No selfish motivations there, that is our story and we are sticking to it! -Robin aka-kubicza, gabygirl, and eekitiki on Webkinz world!
I think it's cool how you're as excited as the boys for school to be out and that you'll enjoy schedule free days--that's how it should be!
I'm interested in this KinzCash deal. Can someone hook me up? Could this be a work from home deal?
I think I've heard of this deal where you nab foreclosed Webkinz for a steal. Then, you flip them and make wild amounts of KinzCash.
Actually, Mike and Michelle should start a knock off called Webkunz.
I'm a lame-o aunt this year. We sent Erick a gift card...please let him buy whatever he wants (and is okay with you). Don't sneak any Tide in the basket on his card!! :)
Yes, thank you Robin. I knew there was a sympathetic ear out there. We are only trying to help :-)
And Kris, you are hilarious! (And sorry about the lack of gift suggestions - I was scrambling this year for my own idea - no Tide, I promise!) Uncle Hot Sauce, you should check out Kris' advice - or maybe you too will get a Webkinz for your bert'day as Erick likes to say because it drives us crazy.
