Last night was a big night for Erickson. Michael and Erick share a bunk bed and Michael has been pleading with Erick for the last few months to switch beds with him as he is getting way too big for the top bunk, but Erick has always resisted. Finally, last night Erick agreed to surrender the bottom bunk to his brother and moved up to the top. All in all it was a success with Erick staying up there all night. We still managed to wake up with an extra body in our bed this morning, yet this time it was Michael. Apparently we are still a way off from completely eliminating the musical beds that we play on a nightly basis, but this is a promising start.
Today the kids are home enjoying snow day #3, 0r it could be #4. There won't be any playing outside though thanks to the Arctic temperatures that have taken over every where. I swear I saw a polar bear walking in our back yard. Michael joyfully forecasted the snow day yesterday when I picked him up from school so they decided to resist going to be last night until around 10:00. Lucky for them it was a snow day or this morning could have been very ugly. I have found that the boys like to get up early, and be in happy moods, on days when they, or more specifically, I could sleep in, yet can't seem to get going on a regular school morning without putting up a fight. Hmm. Puzzling.
