The Challenge

Michael and I established a challenge today. If he is good for the next month, and by good, I mean no whining, doing things when he is asked and not telling me "no" every time I ask him to do something, I will buy him another game controller for our computer. Like a good brother, he would like to get the extra controller so he can teach Erick to play Lego Star Wars.

In addition to the new controller, he also would like to be able to "unlock" a day to play his game (for those of you who don't live in a video game world as we do, that would mean playing on a school day). Being that his video game days are limited to the weekend we might be able to work something out.

This challenge might be my biggest bargaining chip (a.k.a bribing chip) yet. Let's face it, if I can go 30 days with having only one child whine I will be in a very happy place.

Mike thinks that I am getting off easy in this deal and that he might have to coach Michael to aim for a bigger prize than a controller next time. This should be interesting. I wish him well. We shall see what happens.
