Sick Break '08!!!

We are officially on Spring Break, or Sick Break as I am calling it.

Mike went to the doctor's office this morning and has been diagnosed with pneumonia. He sounds horrible and is absolutely miserable. He has been ordered to rest for the next 72 hours so his body can try and heal.

And, unfortunately Erickson is running a fever and doesn't feel good so we will be returning to the doctor's office this afternoon to have him looked at, AGAIN. When I spoke to one of the nurses at his office she told me I could just give him some Tylenol and see if that helps and then call back if his fever persists and he doesn't seem to get better, but being that it is a Friday and it seems that we ALWAYS get our sickest on a weekend when the doctor's office is closed, I asked for him to be seen today.

Thankfully, Michael seems to have recovered with only a lingering cough remaining. Needless to say, our house is one that you will probably want to avoid for a while. I am thinking of having t-shirts made up to commemorate our vacation time: the back will have pictures of thermometers, prescription drug bottles, and tissue boxes and the front will have four sad little stick figure faces with thermometers sticking out of their mouths. Sounds good, right? I will have Michael get started on the artwork...

On a happier note, sings of spring are showing up all over the place. While I was outside grilling today I noticed that our lilac bushes are starting to get buds and found some crocuses blooming.
And speaking of grilling, Erickson just pointed out to me that my hair had something in it and sure enough, after closer inspection in the mirror, it would appear that I singed part of my hair while grilling our hamburgers today. Such a rookie mistake for someone who considers herself an experienced griller. Just a little embarrassing. I imagine if my nose weren't stuffy I could smell the burning hair smell. Everyone now, "GAG"!!!

Finally, check out Bob and Larry. They are almost ready for haircuts!
