We are back after our relaxing spring break and I am happy to report that everyone is feeling better and was back to work/school today. Last Wednesday we packed up our things and headed north to enjoy some much needed R&R.
While the weather was not always ideal (a typical Michigan Spring complete with rain, snow and lots of wind), we made the best of it and enjoyed the outdoors as much as we could. We even made it to the beach - it was just freezing cold and windy! Thankfully we have a family of people who enjoy making fires so we made a little bonfire along the shore to keep us warm.
Of course, any trip up north would not be complete without a visit with my Grandma. We had an enjoyable time catching up with her and enjoyed a delicious meal at her favorite Chinese restaurant.
Here are some pictures from our trip:
For further disclosure, we also get a kick out of exploring in the woods for mushrooms - just to look, not to eat, and Mike is becoming quite the expert. However, over the weekend I became fascinated with the idea of searching for morel mushrooms and want to give that a try. (Anyone interested in my mushroom pictures let me know! ha! What, no takers? They're pretty coooool.)
Say what you will -- I already realize that all evidence points to us quickly turning into old fogies.
And since I couldn't announce it on the actual day, I will write about it now. On the 10th of April Mike and I celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary! Happy, happy to us!

There it is, in electronic "print" for all to see: One can not mother and blog at the same time. I'm thinking of starting a group devoted to the cause of placing limits on this epidemic.
I believe I will call this group Fathers Against Grievous Blogging And Goofing By Otherwise Occupied Mothers. I will set to work immediately.
Oh my gosh--those wedding photos are beautiful, in fact, I'm printing the second one and framing it for the mantle! I wish I had ones that good from my own! Happy Anniversary--CONGRATS:)
What a lovely wedding! If I could do it all over again, I would of had a different hair style! The photographer you had did a real nice job, so did your sister with all her photos of the event! Wow, 9 years - just think I called and left a message wishing you happy #10 - guess I got a little a head of myself! HA! HA!
