Michael update

Michael is still running a bit of a fever so we decided to keep him home one more day. He was having mixed emotions this morning about missing school again - or at least putting on a good show that he was sorry to be missing school again, but in the end I think I caught a small smile creep across his face as he slid back under the covers. Who can blame him!

Last night we all got a kick out of sampling the candy store Mike brought home for Michael. Part of the loot included these HORRIBLE, and I mean HORRIBLE candies called Extreme Sour Warheads. They were so sour that Michael and I couldn't even make it through the sour part to get to the sweetness that awaited inside. I have never tasted anything so bitterly sour. Michael likes to call them vomit candy. The package even comes with the following warning: “Eating multiple pieces within a short time period may cause a temporary irritation to sensitive tongues and mouths.”

Fortunately we all found relief in downing a handful of Pop Rocks. Now here is a great candy! And the history and urban legends surrounding this candy are hilarious. Poor little Mikey from the Life cereal commercials... And in case you ever wondered what causes the candy to explode, here you go.

Happy Birthday to my friend Megan! I hope you have a wonderful day! If anyone is looking for any extremely cute purses, handbags, or totes you should visit her website www.meganoriginals.blogspot.com as she is one crafty gal!

Chris and the kids love those warheads! I can't even tolerate them for a moment either! I do love to take pictures of the sour faces that appear with those! Priceless shots. Glad Michael is feeling better too.

I love warheads! We used to see who could eat the most of them in one sitting without their eyes tearing up. - Joli
