Winter is upon us as we have our first cold of the season and snow is in the forecast. Speedo stayed home from school today as he was up most of the night coughing and his nose is runny. We are hoping to nurse him back to health in time for trick-or-treating.
The boys finished up an exciting season of soccer on Saturday with both boy's teams winning! Quite exciting! Erickson scored the first goal of the game for his team which was just so fantastic to watch. And Michael scored on a great pass from his friend Carson, keeping his "at least one goal per game" streak alive!! Both boys had pizza parties to go to after their games and they received cute little medals and certificates.
Could these smiles look any more forced???I am kind of bummed that the season is over, yet Saturday's games were played on completely muddy fields and it was freezing cold with drizzling rain. So in that respect, I am happy to turn towards some indoor activities.
Other than that, we have been busy with all kinds of stuff.
Michael had a Halloween party at school last Friday and Erick has one this Friday. For Halloween, both boys decided that they want to wear the skeleton costumes that they wore last year, which I happily thought was a great idea! No pressure to find/make new costumes! Works for me. They have been trying them on periodically over the last few days so hopefully we will have all of the bones accounted for come Friday. I found two loose "hands" in the dining room this morning.
Finally, before I forget, as is my nature... we send very happy birthday wishes to Uncle Denny! We hope you have a fantastic day and know that we are thinking of you :-) Happy Birthday!
