In no particular order...

The last few days (who am I kidding, months) have been crazy and unfortunately won't be slowing down anytime soon. On Saturday we had our big fund raiser/auction at the boys school which was a lot of fun, but called for a lot of prep work in the weeks leading up to it. We had a fun time and are now the proud owners of reserved front row seats to either the Christmas or Easter Mass courtesy of Mike's enthusiastic bidding. (I'm sure he would love to tell you about it, or maybe not :-) Now the pressure will really be on for us to get there on time!

Mikey's Swim Lessons
Today Michael starts swimming lessons which should be fun! He loves swimming and taught himself how, swimming for hours and hours on end in Grandma's lake, but we figured it would be a good idea to let a pro step in to teach some of the fundamentals. He is very excited!

Visitors!!!
We are very excited that Grandpa Lew and Betty are coming to visit us at the end of the week! We are now in the midst of preparing for their visit and making a surprise appearance at the top of our "to do" list was "paint upstairs hallway." This is a task that has been looming over our heads, pretty much since we moved in eight years ago, however yesterday I had the sudden urge to get the job done and stayed up until 2:30 AM painting. I only hope that the smell of paint will go away in the next three days!!!!

And Stretch two, three, four...
Last, but not least, a few weeks ago I decided that it was time to get back into shape so I started working out with the aid of an exercise ball. To help me stick with the program, I enlisted Erickson to be my workout buddy on his days off from preschool. This has actually been very entertaining for both of us and worked out pretty well until he started demanding his own time with MY ball. I tried to explain to Michael and Erick that my ball was not a toy, but seriously. You bring a huge, bouncy, shiny ball into the house and everyone wants to play with it!

Before this situation got too ugly I was able to find the perfect solution to our little problem thanks to a stroll through the Halloween clearance aisle at Target. A kids jumping ball. Perfect fit. Problem solved. And cute to boot.

OK, off to finish some more painting...
