Michael has really enjoyed his swimming lessons and is doing a fantastic job! With only one other boy in his class he is getting a ton of personal attention. While he swims, Erick and I watch from a bench next to the pool. To help keep Erickson entertained I bring along coloring books and crayons. Well, yesterday Erick managed to find something much more amusing for his entertainment.
To set the scene, the class is taught by a college student, and usually there are a handful of other students hanging out around the pool area. As Erick was digging around in the backpack with all of our stuff, he came upon Michael's change of clothes - more specifically, Michael's underpants. Now I realize that this may be one of those cases where you had to be there to fully appreciate how funny this was, but Erickson found great amusement in "discretely" pulling Michael's underpants out of the backpack (about 50 times) and displaying them for anyone to see while scrunching up his face and saying "hmmm, what are these?". It was hilarious.
I feel obligated at this point to note that I have been accused of being an enabler for some of Erick's antics and deep down I realize that this may be true as I had a hard time not laughing my head off.
I fully give credit to his father for his comedic abilities and I dreadfully await the first note home from his teacher.
