Happy Friday

Our Michigan weather continues to tease us. Last night it was nasty and snowy, this morning it was freezing and by the afternoon, the birds were singing, most of the new snow had melted, and the sun was shinning. I will say that I am loving that it is still light out at 7:00 PM. I have pretty much stopped paying attention to the weather reports and am just using positive thoughts that Spring is truly here. I guess you can see how well that has worked for me these past few days! Oh, well. Wishful thinking.

Meet Bob and Larry.
We have proven that we can make our crocodile grow, now the boys are turning their attention to plant life. Since it is way too early to plant anything outside in our zone 5 habitat, these little fellas (they are about the size of XL eggs) will help get us in the Spring spirit. Mike's co-worker, Joli was kind enough to introduce us to these little creatures and if all goes well, they will soon have full heads of grassy hair! They crack me up even without hair. Thanks Joli!

For anyone wondering, when I asked if their names had anything to do with Bob and Larry of VeggieTales fame, Michael informed me that it was just a coincidence.

For the gator report...I forget which day we are on but he continues to grow and has about 2 more inches to go before reaching his promised length.

SMILE!
And to end on a completely random item, I made they boys fried eggs for breakfast today and this was how Michael's turned out. While it is no Virgin Mary, it made me laugh.

As you can tell, I am easily amused.

Michelle,

You are very welcome! Don't forget to water them everyday. Er, keep them moist.

I give mine a tsp of coffee every other day.

Thank you for the advice. And Mike told me that we -- and by we, I mean they -- started off wrong by only putting 1/4 of a seed packet in each. This morning we added a whole packet to each - hopefully that wasn't too much! We will keep you updated :-)

You should have sold those eggs on ebay. Just last week a corn flake shaped like Illinois went for $1300.
