Somebody get this boy a beret!

We had a fun time at the art show last night. It was really great seeing Michael's picture hanging up on the wall and you can tell he was excited about it! The show was at the Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts downtown and included kids in grades K - 12 from over 70 schools in the area. The talent that went into some of the projects was really amazing! The boys had a fun time looking around at all of the different kinds of artwork and picked up some ideas for different things to try -- I foresee some paper mache in our near future -- perhaps an Easter vacation project? Sicky, Sicky
In other news, Erickson continues to be sick. We took him to the doctor's office this morning to make sure he didn't have strep throat or anything as he was complaining that his throat was sore when he woke up. It appears that he has some kind of virus that is making it's way around and has been ordered to rest and drink lots of fluids. Poor little guy is sniffling like crazy. The doctor did leave us on a high note by saying that it could pass throughout the rest of the house. Oh, wait. That isn't good news now is it? Needless to say, our visitors for the night have postponed their visit so we don't pass anything along to anyone.

Day 3 - Gator growing
Well, as you can see our pet has a new home in the bathtub. Michael ran downstairs to check on it first thing this morning and decided that the gator needed a friend. HA! He also pointed out how funny it was that I was enjoying the toy as much as he was, especially since I was so skeptical about him buying it. I admitted I was wrong and have to say that it is BY FAR more impressive than any other growing toy we have had previously. I measured him at roughly 21.5 inches today which means he has about another 10.5 to go!

Tell me you are not as fascinated as I am! OK, nevermind - that is just opening myself up to criticism.
