Excitement all around, or not.

I was starting to drag a bit this evening and against my better judgment, I drank a cup of coffee after 7:30 PM. Now, I find myself still not ready for bed and it is past 1:00 in the morning. Lovely. So what better to do than to enlighten you with what we did today. Which I will warn you up front was not much.

This afternoon Erickson had a play date with his friend Ryan from school which was a lot of fun. It was kind of a strange thing as usually our play dates are based around Michael's friends, so it was a bit of a change for Michael to not be there. And as I type this it makes me realize that Michael is getting too old to call them play dates anymore. At any rate, Erick had a fun time.

Michael and Mike in the meantime were busy clearing off the snow that has been building up in our driveway this past week as it was finally "warm" enough to stay outside for longer than 2 seconds. Usually Mike and I like to pride ourselves on having one of the cleanest, if not THE cleanest driveway on the block when it snows (because you know that is what is truly important in life! ha!) and lately we have been total slackers. We have a neighbor down the block who has been putting us to shame this week and I know it had to be driving Mike crazy! Ha! I know, I know, we are THAT lame.

For the entertainment portion of our evening we went to Block Buster to rent a movie but ended up taking advantage of their used movie sale - 4 movies for $20. Such a great deal. I bought three flicks for the boys and one for us. Tonight we watched Bridge to Terabithia, which I thought was good, but a sad movie - it reminded me of the movie My Girl.

So there you have it. Our day in a nutshell. My caffeine buzz wore off a while ago so I say goodnight.
