Proud Mom

Michael brought home his report card today and did excellent job! This was a big week for him as he also had a line to read at an all school assembly yesterday. I didn't get to see it but was told by his teacher that he did a great job. He was really excited about it as only two students in each grade got to speak. Yeah, Mikey! We are very proud of him :-)

Erick also had a big day yesterday starring in his first ever photo shoot. The back of his head is going to be FAMOUS, famous I tell you!! OK, that might be a slight exaggeration!

Mike had a client from work that needed a little boy to pose for some pictures for an ad they are doing so Erickson's services were volunteered. (Child labor?) The picture will have him standing on a scale at a doctor's office and all you see of him is his backside. He patiently stood still for about 45 minutes on two blocks of wood while his picture was taken. It will be fun to see how it turns out.

Erickson got "paid" in Lego Star Wars toys (note Darth Vader and pals below) so needless to say, both boys were more than pleased. I spent about 2 hours last night sitting on the floor surrounded by tiny Lego pieces putting together an At-Ap Walker and have a feeling I will be doing the same tonight making the Rogue Shadow. I even walked away with some photo shoot swag scoring a gift certificate to a spa! Not bad.

Well, apparently my time on the computer is up as Michael's gentler, more patient approach to asking to play his video game has taken a turn for the more violent. I am currently under attack by the following army:

If only lego technology was so advanced when I was that age. Although, now that I look again, why are Darth's left limbs gray but his opposite limbs black?

Good question. Thank you for asking. Apparently that is the "battle damaged Darth Vader". For more info please refer to:
